This book gives an encompassing overview on Archigram as a group from its biographical information to its design philosophy and specific information on its projects. It was also a very valuable source of imagery as it contained many of Archigram’s original drawings and collages.

 

Molinari, Luca. Architecture: Movements and Trends from the 19th Century to the Present. Milano: Skira, 2015.

A book which introduces Archigram and its many contemporaries that also worked with experimental architecture as well as overviews the trends and motivations of avant-garde architecture. The book also discusses Metabolism and others in the architectural avant-garde, namely Archizoom and Superstudio.

Contains descriptions of several key projects from the 60’s and 70’s specifically Michael Webb’s Sin Centre. Included in the descriptions are several original drawings by Michael Webb as well his own commentary on the project.

This book describes the cultural and social climate of the 60’s as a backdrop of the work that Archigram was producing. It provided information on several key peripheral cultural and social events as well as described interesting interpretations of Archigram’s work.
